What does Confidence Look like?
Professional women sometimes are misinterpreted as being demanding or bossy. In most cases, I want to say, that it is not true. These women, in my opinion, are self-driven, highly motivated and can be very sensitive and thoughtful. They use caution before being transparent. Why? Because to be transparent you must have a high level of trust. Is it easy to trust people who perhaps hold unrealistic expectations of you? Some see a professional woman and expect them to be strong in every area all of the time. Who is able to do that? A professional woman has to wear many hats. Not only is she a leader on the job, but she is also often a mother and wife, a community volunteer, and a list of other involvements. Here are just a few characteristics of this woman. She is able to tap into her mental resources of creativity, positivity, and strength. She has the confidence to stand up for herself and uses her voice when others are treated poorly. She is not confrontational as some may think but refuses to be quiet when injustices are seen. Although she may feel anxious and sometimes insecure, she forges ahead and commits to whatever task she must do. She knows that she is victorious and more than a conqueror according to, Romans 8:37. She has a growth mindset and adapts to change quickly. She will dive into learning something new and will confidently make the needed adjustments. She understands that there is great value in stepping out of her comfort zone and learning new material. She refuses to let people or situations break her spirit. She believes in her capacity to make good decisions. This is the part that I think is most impressive. This woman is authentic in her support and encouragement of others and freely celebrates their successes. She can do so because of her competence and her well-defined sense of self-worth and identity
